THE ROOMS
Linene features six en-suite bedrooms, accommodating up to 12 guests in comfort and style. The rooms are thoughtfully arranged in two wings - three on each side of the main lodge - providing space and privacy. A mix of king, queen, and twin beds caters to couples, families, or groups of friends. Each room is comfortably furnished with large sliding doors that open to the surrounding nature, inviting in the breeze and the soothing sounds of the ocean.

Guests enjoy private use of Lindo Mar, a 27-foot Nova Cat powered by twin 150HP Suzuki engines, expertly crewed and fully equipped for both adventure and comfort. Fishing enthusiasts can experience world-class deep-sea fishing, from trolling for sailfish and wahoo or popping and jigging for giant trevally, dorado, and couta.
For ocean lovers, snorkelling at the famous Two Mile Reef between Bazaruto and Benguerra is a must, alongside dolphin and dugong spotting, whale watching, and birding opportunities. Island-hopping to Bangue and Margarugue Island, sandbank picnics, and sundowners are unforgettable highlights. GETTING THERE
Reaching Linene Island is simple and seamless. Vilanculos, the nearest town, is easily accessible with a direct 1 hour 20 minute flight from Johannesburg on Airlink. From Vilanculos Airport, guests have two transfer options. For the quickest route, enjoy a scenic 15-minute helicopter flight that delivers you directly to the island.
Alternatively, guests can be transferred by road from the airport to the harbour (15 minute trip), followed by a beautiful boat journey of just over an hour across turquoise waters. Please note that boat transfers are tide-dependent, and timings will be carefully coordinated to ensure a smooth arrival.

The Sanctuary is a 43,900-hectare marine and terrestrial conservation area on the San Sebastian peninsula, along Mozambique’s Indian Ocean coast near Vilanculos. It lies within the Great Bazaruto Key Biodiversity Area and the Inhambane Seascape Hope Spot, highlighting its rich ecological value.
The reserve encompasses diverse habitats including wetlands, mangroves, coral reefs, small islands, tidal flats, lakes, estuaries, forests, dunes, savannah, and Miombo woodlands, which together support a wide range of wildlife and bird species. Established in 2000 as a Fully Protected Area under private management, The Sanctuary is recognised as a leading example of cooperative conservation involving government, local communities, and the private sector.
